Earthly Father, Heavenly Father
In honor of Father's Day tomorrow,
we wanted to share this video from lds.org about dads.
We loved how it made us think about all of the blessings our Father in Heaven
provides for us, though we cannot see it or we just expect it.
And our dads here on earth are the same!
Working day in and day out to provide for us.
Make sure to take time tomorrow to tell your dad "I LOVE YOU!"
and let him know how much you appreciate all that he does.

Favorite Things Friday: Campfire Treats
One of our favorite summer To-Do's is building a campfire! Whether with friends or family, campfires are a fun way to get together and make memories! (And of course you should only build a campfire in a designated and safe place okay? Of course, I guess that should be the Young Men that get that memo, haha.)
You'll probably sing songs or tell ghost stories around the fire, or maybe just watched the flames. But the most important part is obviously the desserts! Duh! In our Girls Camp Issue of Stand & Shine Magazine we included our absolute favorite campfire desserts: Banana Boats and Camper's Cones. And just for fun we also threw in a few ideas of things you can roast on a stick...could be awesome! (And check out the DIY Roasting Sticks if you're in need of those!)
So get your BFF's together or plan a group date, and get those campfires going! Happy Summer!
What treats do you like to make over a campfire?

195 Dresses
We love hearing how Young Women (like you!) make the world a better place.
Your ideas, your dreams, your projects, your talents.
So many things that "let your so shine" before the world!
On lds.org we found this great story about Charity,
a young woman who decided to make a difference for other girls
searching for modest prom dresses.
What a great example of putting into action her beliefs!
I can't imagine how many girls Charity's project has helped!
Way to go girl!

Pure & Simple Faith
This last Sunday in church we studied Ether chapter 12. Oh my goodness is it faith filled awesomeness! I could spend so much time in each verse of scripture. But for the sake of time (and me not boring you) let's just share one today:
Have you ever wanted a miracle? Something to change or be fixed in your life? Maybe it's something in the moment or more long term. Maybe it's a miracle for yourself or for someone you love. Whatever it may be, we have good news! God is a God of miracles! (2 Nephi 27:23) But as you study the scriptures you'll notice that God performs his miracles when the children of God show faith.
Faith is the answer to receiving miracles. There is a beautiful story that I want to share about a young woman who needed a miracle:
Wasn't that such a touching story? She needed a miracle to provide for her family. She didn't get discouraged but instead turned to God. She prayed that he would help her and she followed his guidance. And she showed her faith by going to action (because we know that faith without works is dead, JST James 2:18). God worked a miracle in her life after she showed her faith! Such a beautiful example and testament of the truth of the scriptures and the reality of God.
God is there. He knows when you are searching for miracles. Turn to him in prayer and show your faith in action. Trust him. Through your faith, he will bless you!
