Helping with Thanksgiving Dinner

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays...I mean, FOOD!! And tons of it!
Plus it's always a great to have a few days vacation just to hang out with family and friends.

But we know it can also be hard to know how to help!
Thanksgiving is sort of a mom-makes-all-the-food holiday
and she probably takes care of the planning and details.
And even though I like helping out,
I don't really want to learn how to cook the turkey :)

If you're like me, you might have the same dilemma.
But perhaps this year you could help with something besides the food....
like getting the table and decorations ready!

I've gathered just a few ideas of easy and simple ways to spruce up the holiday
and I'm sure you're mom would love having one less thing to worry about!

You could print off this cute banner from Shanty2Chic
or make your own with paper, fabric, paint, or whatever suits your fancy.

Who doesn't love gold spray paint?
Just spray some leaves and add names with a black paint marker!
Loving this idea from Elements of Style.

You can easily print off these cute Utensil Holders
that are free at Craftaholics Anonymous.

This is a fun idea for placemats found on Typhanie Peterson Design!
Have your family write things they are thankful for while waiting for the feast!

Leaves are always a festive idea for Thanksgiving
and at A Beautiful Mess you can find a free template for these cute leaves.
You could string them as a banner or hang them in the windows...so many possibilities!

If you have little brothers and sisters, or cousins, or whoever they may be...
you could print off some fun Thanksgiving Bingo cards from Crazy Little Projects.

These waffle cone cornucopia's could be a fun addition to each place setting
and a yummy treat that everyone can take home with them.
You can find easy instructions on how to make them at the Paper Turtle.

What other ways do you like helping at Thanksgiving?
