Emergency Car Kit

September is Preparedness Month....and nothing like getting prepared at the last minute!!
Since it's the last day of the month, we're soooooo on top of things.

But one item that we REALLY think is important if you're driving to school, work, etc.
is an Emergency Car Kit!!

With cooler weather right around the corner it's important to be prepared in case you get stuck in the snow, get a flat tire, or get stranded somewhere and have to wait for help.
Check out this info from WSDOT to get your started on a simple Car Kit:

This would be an easy FHE to do with your family
or to even talk about during a YW Activity -
along with maybe learning how to use the jumper cables or change a tire.

Most of all, just BE SAFE AND PREPARED!!!

  1. One of the best places to begin is obviously the Internet by doing searches for key terms like emergency preparedness, survival kits, survival food, emergency essentials, water filtration, water purification, etc. There are also numerous books available to help you in the preparedness process and these can be acquired online, at book stores or checked out at your local library. One of my favorite resources is www.emergencybugoutbags.net because I bought Survival Kits for my car and home and both times they give good and reliable material.
